"The beauty of decay: art as a mirror of time"
My art is an invatation to discover the hidden beauty of life.
In a world that is often characterized by perfectionism and quick disposal, I want to create a space in which the old and worn out unfolds its own dignity and grace.Through the use of rust, copper and gold in my works, the beauty of decay is made visible - a symbol of the fact that true beauty is often in the traces of time.
My works are a dialog between past and present, a place of reflection and inspiration that reminds us to be more mindful of the things arround us. In my creations I weave stories and textures that surrounds me in every day life and turn them into works of art that inspire content and reflection.
Old buildings, weathered surfaces and neglected objects have a special attraction for me. They tell stories of past life and lived time, which I record in my works. These memories and the grace associated with them are reflectes in everey detail, be in soft areas of color or the textures flowing into each other that I create with spatulas, painting knives and my hands.
