HOLDING STATE
HOLDING STATE· Restraint · Suspension
The series HOLDING STATE explores restrained energy within pictorial space.
Emerging from reduction, compression, and internal displacement, a visual language develops in which tension is not released, but contained.
The works move between stability and latent transformation. Surfaces appear closed, yet carry inner movements and resistances within them. Textile structures, condensed forms, and reduced contrasts become part of a silent field of forces.
Throughout the series, outward movement is increasingly reduced.
The works move away from narrative fragments and focus instead on the state itself — on what remains bound beneath the surface.
Bound Instability
HALTEZUSTAND VI – Tipping Point condenses the moment between balance and displacement:
a state in which stability exists only as a fragile condition, where any movement could trigger transformation.
The tension remains restrained, yet constantly present.
Structures begin to dissolve without fully collapsing. The work captures the moment in which order starts to become unstable — not as an event, but as an inner state.
